About CurveFox
CurveFox is for the moment you want to know where you stand: what you need on the final, what your GPA is on the scale your school uses, or what your practice score means. Every calculator shows its math and says where its numbers come from.
Who runs CurveFox
CurveFox is made and run by Muhammad Afzaal Afzal, a software developer based in Heilbronn, Germany, who is responsible for the calculators and the guides on this site. He studies for an M.Sc. in AI and Data Analytics, is a student at 42 Heilbronn and has been shipping software for clients for more than five years. He builds and checks every calculator himself: each scoring and scale file names the official document it comes from and the date he read it, and the engine tests recompute the worked examples before every release. You can read more about his work on mafzaalafzal.com. Full details are in the legal notice.
Where the numbers come from
GPA and grade calculators use the common US scales (4.0 unweighted, 5.0 weighted, plus and minus grades) and let you pick your school's own. Test score calculators use the section weights and conversion tables that the exam makers publish in their public documents. Where no official table exists for the exam you took, the result is an estimate built from released data, and the page says so next to the result, with the source and the year it was checked.
How we check it
Every calculation runs through automated tests with worked examples from official documents and from other calculators, and the whole site is reviewed before each release. If you find a case where the math looks wrong, tell us and we will check it and correct it.
