Terms of use
Last updated: 17 October 2026
These terms apply when you use curvefox.com. CurveFox is run by Muhammad Afzaal Afzal (details in the legal notice). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
On this page
1. What CurveFox offers
CurveFox is a free, independent website with calculators for students, parents and teachers: GPA, class grades, final exam grades, test grading, and estimated AP, SAT, PSAT and ACT scores, plus short guides. You do not need an account, and we do not charge for anything.
2. Results are estimates, not official results
Every result is a calculation from the numbers you enter and from the scales, weights and tables we cite next to it. Your official GPA and grades come from your school, and your official test scores come only from the organization that runs the exam. Schools use different scales, weights and rounding rules, and exam cutoffs change from year to year, so a result here can differ from your official one. Do not rely on CurveFox alone for decisions such as course choices, college applications, scholarships or retakes. Check with your school or the exam provider. More in the disclaimer.
3. Acceptable use
Please use CurveFox as a person working out your own numbers, or helping a student with theirs. You may not:
- use bots, scrapers or other automated means to copy our calculators, data files, texts or other content (search engines indexing public pages are welcome);
- resell, republish or offer our content or data as part of another product or service;
- try to break, overload or get around the security of the site or its servers;
- use the site for anything unlawful.
You are welcome to link to our pages, share results with the share link and use the calculators in class. We may block access that breaks these rules.
4. Our content and our sources
The CurveFox name and logo, the design, the explanations, guides and other texts we write, and the code belong to us and are protected by copyright. You may not copy the site or large parts of it, or present it as your own.
Section weights, scoring rules and conversion tables come from public documents of the exam makers and from public sources such as state grading rules. Each result names its source and the date we checked it. We do not reproduce test questions or other protected exam material.
AP®, Advanced Placement®, SAT® and College Board® are trademarks registered by the College Board. PSAT/NMSQT® is a registered trademark of the College Board and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. ACT® is a registered trademark of ACT Education Corp. None of these organizations is affiliated with, or endorses, CurveFox.
5. Affiliate links
Some pages link to test prep providers through affiliate links, labeled as such. If you buy something after clicking, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Any purchase is a contract between you and that provider, under its own terms. We are not responsible for its products or services.
6. Availability and changes to the service
CurveFox is free and offered as it is. We may change, pause or end features or the whole site at any time. We try to keep the calculators correct and the site running, but we cannot promise that it is always available or free of errors.
7. Liability
We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz) applies. For slight negligence we are only liable if we break an obligation that is essential for using the service and on which you may regularly rely (a cardinal obligation, Kardinalpflicht), and then only for typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise our liability for slight negligence is excluded. Because the service is free, the statutory rules on gifts also apply (section 521 of the German Civil Code, BGB). These limits also apply to the personal liability of anyone acting for us.
8. Links to other sites
We link to other websites, such as the official documents our numbers come from, test prep providers and our social profiles. Their owners are responsible for their content and their own terms apply there.
9. Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you use CurveFox as a consumer, this choice of law does not take away the protection of mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
10. Consumer dispute resolution
We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (section 36 of the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act, VSBG).
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features. The date at the top shows the current version. Changes apply from the time they are published here.
