Questions and answers

Is 19 a good ACT score?

A 19 ACT composite is at the 58th percentile of ACT takers and matches a 1010 SAT (990 to 1020): just under the 19.2 national average, by 0.2 points, and ahead of 58 in 100 ACT takers. Whether it is good for you depends on the colleges on your list.

What percentile is a 19 on the ACT?

The 58th percentile on ACT's national ranks for 2024 to 2026 graduates: 58 in 100 test takers scored 19 or lower. An 18 is the 52nd. A 20 is the 63rd.

19 ACT to SAT: what does it equal?

990 to 1020, with 1010 as the single value, on the official 2018 ACT and College Board concordance. It says the two scores carry the same weight; it does not predict an SAT score.

How do I raise a 19 to a 20?

Add 3 section points across English, Math and Reading, so they total 59. On ACT's Practice Test 2 that is about 2 more right answers (61 of 108 instead of 59). Work on your weakest section first.

Should I retake the ACT with a 19?

Usually yes if your colleges report higher scores in their Common Data Set. 19.2 is the national average and 23 starts the top quarter, 4 points up. Find your weakest section with a practice test before the next date.
