How this calculator works

Worked example

You have a 2.3 GPA over 30 credit hours and you are taking 15 hours next term. What does a term of straight As do, and what term GPA reaches a 2.4?

  1. Quality points so far: 2.3 x 30 = 69.
  2. A term of As adds 4.0 x 15 = 60 points: (69 + 60) / 45 = 2.87.
  3. For a 2.4: (2.4 x 45 minus 69) / 15 = 2.60 needed next term.

Straight As lift a 2.3 to 2.87; a 2.60 term GPA reaches a 2.4.
