What a 1600 SAT score means
Both College Board percentile groups print a 1600 as 99+, so fewer than 1 in 100 students reach it, and no single question can be missed on the practice table.
One step down, a 1590 is above the 99th percentile of SAT takers; one step up, nothing is higher than 1600.

How 1600 compares with other SAT scores
The College Board publishes two percentiles for every total. Against recent SAT takers a 1600 is above the 99th percentile; against a research sample of all US 11th and 12th graders it is above the 99th percentile. The middle of that wider group is 1010, 590 points under your 1600.

On the official ACT and College Board concordance, 1600 falls in the 1570 to 1600 band, which matches an ACT composite of 36. See that row on the ACT to SAT conversion chart or see whether 36 is a good ACT score.
What a 1600 takes
On the College Board's paper Practice Test 11 table a 1600 takes 66 of 66 Reading and Writing and 54 of 54 Math answers, 120 of 120. There is nothing to raise: send it, and spend the time on the rest of your application.
Is 1600 enough for your colleges?
That depends on the college, so we list no admission ranges. To check one, search its name plus "Common Data Set" and open section C9: the 25th, 50th and 75th percentile SAT scores of enrolled first-year students. A 1600 is at or above every 75th percentile line in C9, so send it everywhere, test optional colleges included.
Some colleges post SAT minimums for merit scholarships on their own aid pages; check whether 1600 clears them. National Merit uses the PSAT/NMSQT, not the SAT: see what a good PSAT score is.
