Install the CurveFox app
Put CurveFox on your home screen, dock or Start menu. It opens in its own window like any other app, with no app store and no account, and the calculators you used last keep working without a connection.
Your browser installs CurveFox from its menu. Show the steps for your device.
Installing is optional. CurveFox works the same in your browser.
What you get
- Every calculator in one free app: the GPA calculator, the grade and final grade calculators, the easy grader for teachers and the AP, SAT and ACT score calculators.
- An icon that opens CurveFox full screen, without the browser bars.
- Offline use. The GPA, grade and final grade calculators are saved on your device when you install, and every other page you open is saved as you go. The calculators run in your browser, so they work with no signal.
- Shortcuts on Android and on computers: press and hold the icon, or right click it, to jump straight to the GPA, grade, final grade or AP calculators.
- Updates by themselves. When a new version is ready you see a message with a Reload button.
Install on iPhone and iPad
- Open CurveFox in Safari. Other browsers on iPhone also have Add to Home Screen in their Share menu on recent versions of iOS, but Safari is the most reliable.
- Tap the Share button, the square with an arrow pointing up. It is at the bottom of the screen on iPhone and at the top right on iPad.
- Scroll the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Leave Open as Web App switched on, then tap Add.
- Open CurveFox from the new icon on your home screen.
Install on Android
- Open CurveFox in Chrome.
- Tap the three dots menu at the top right, then tap Install app. Some phones show Add to Home screen instead, and then Install.
- Tap Install to confirm. The icon appears on your home screen and in your app list.
In Samsung Internet, open the menu, tap Add page to and choose Home screen. In Microsoft Edge, open the menu and tap Add to phone. In Firefox, open the menu and tap Install.
Install on Windows, Mac and Chromebook
Chrome
- Open CurveFox. Click the Install icon at the right end of the address bar, a screen with a small arrow.
- If you do not see it, open the three dots menu, then Cast, save and share, then Install page as app.
- Click Install. CurveFox opens in its own window and gets a place in your Start menu, Launchpad or app list.
Microsoft Edge
Click the App available icon in the address bar, or open the three dots menu, choose Apps and then Install this site as an app.
Safari on Mac
Open CurveFox, choose File in the menu bar and then Add to Dock. This needs macOS Sonoma (14) or newer.
Firefox on a computer
Firefox on Windows, Mac and Linux cannot install websites as apps. Open CurveFox in Chrome, Edge or Safari to install it.
If you do not see an install option
- Open CurveFox in your main browser. Links opened inside Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or an email app use a built-in browser that cannot install apps.
- Leave private or incognito mode. Those windows cannot install sites.
- Update your browser and your phone. Installing needs a recent version.
- Check your home screen, dock or app list. If the icon is already there, CurveFox is installed.
Remove the app
On iPhone and Android, press and hold the icon and choose Remove App or Uninstall. On a computer, open the app, click the three dots menu in its window and choose Uninstall CurveFox. Your browser keeps working as before.
