What a 910 SAT score means
A 910 sits 110 points under the middle SAT taker and 510 points above the 400 floor. Treat it as a starting point: on the practice table below, the 1020 middle is 12 right answers away.
Split evenly, a 910 is about 450 in Reading and Writing and 460 in Math, which on the paper Practice Test 11 table leaves room to miss 32 of 66 and 27 of 54 questions. One step down, a 900 is at the 32nd percentile of SAT takers; one step up, a 920 is at the 35th percentile.
| Reading and Writing | Math | Right answers | Misses |
|---|---|---|---|
| 450 | 460 | 34 + 27 = 61 | 59 |
| 550 | 360 | 45 + 13 = 58 | 62 |
| 350 | 560 | 21 + 36 = 57 | 63 |
How 910 compares with other SAT scores
The College Board publishes two percentiles for every total. Against recent SAT takers a 910 is at the 33rd percentile; against a research sample of all US 11th and 12th graders it is at the 31st percentile. The middle of that wider group is 1010, 100 points above your 910.

Is 910 enough for your colleges?
That depends on the college, so we list no admission ranges. To check one, search its name plus "Common Data Set" and open section C9: the 25th, 50th and 75th percentile SAT scores of enrolled first-year students. A 910 clears the 25th percentile wherever C9 starts at 910 or lower, beats the middle student where the 50th is under 910 and reaches the top quarter where the 75th is 910 or lower. At a test optional college, send your 910 where the 50th percentile is 910 or lower and leave it off where the 25th is above 910.
Some colleges post SAT minimums for merit scholarships on their own aid pages; check whether 910 clears them, because a retake that does can pay off even where scores are optional. National Merit uses the PSAT/NMSQT, not the SAT: see what a good PSAT score is.

What ACT score is a 910 SAT?
About 16. The official 2018 ACT and College Board concordance puts SAT totals from 880 to 910 next to an ACT composite of 16. It compares the two scales; it does not predict what you would score on the ACT.
How many more questions does a 910 need for 960?
About 6 on the paper version of Practice Test 11, where an even split for 910 takes 61 right answers of 120 and 960 takes 67. 1020 (the middle SAT taker) takes 73. Real test forms are adaptive, so the count on test day can differ by a few questions.
Should I retake the SAT with a 910?
If the colleges you want report higher scores in their Common Data Set, yes. The middle SAT taker scores 1020, 110 points up, and 1200 reaches the top quarter. Use a full practice test to find the weaker section first; a second date aimed at it is often the quickest gain.
